CLTV Anchor/Reporter
Judy Wang
Judy Wang is the anchor of the CLTV weekend morning news. She reports general assignment stories during the week. Judy joined CLTV in May 1995.
Her 1997 documentary entitled "Gina's Journey", about a teen girl's battle with aids, won CLTV second place honors from the National Press Photographers Association for Best Documentary. It was CLTV's first national award. Judy hosted five of CLTV's "Community of Cultures" programs in honor of Asian-American Heritage Month. She is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and the Radio Television News Directors Association.
Before CLTV:
Judy grew up in Rogers Park, Buffalo Grove, and Northbrook. She graduated from Glenbrook South High School in Glenview. She got her B.A. from the University of Missouri's School of Journalism. In 1985, she spent one summer studying at Tamkung University in Taiwan. She has been an anchor/reporter at KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids Iowa.. WAPW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin.. WTZH-TV in Meridian, Mississippi, and KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri.
Outside CLTV:
Judy studied ballet, tap, and jazz dance before beginning her television career. She enjoys pilates, shopping, broadway shows, opera, and the symphony. Judy has served as master of ceremonies for events that raise money for non-profit organizations and as the grand marshal for Chicago's chinese new year parade.
