News Producer
CLTV News, Tribune Company's 24-hour regional cable news channel, is seeking a talented newscast producer to work in a digital production environment. Responsibilities include script writing, desktop videotape editing, managing multiple rundowns, producing breaking news, contributing story ideas, tracking developments of news coverage, timely communication with talent, directors, editors & production staff, and creating and placing elements for cltv.com and other related websites. Candidates must have at least three years proven experience line producing in broadcast news as a producer or associate producer. Experience using digital technology, ENPS and a bachelor's degree in journalism is preferred. Spanish language skills are desirable. This position requires varying shifts and days per week.

News Photographer
CLTV News, Tribune Company's 24-hour cable news channel located in a state-of-the-art facility in suburban Chicago, is seeking a talented News Photojournalist. Basic responsibilities include shooting and editing news and feature stories as assigned, including live truck operation; working independently and with reporters in photographing and editing packages; and maintaining quality standards in relation to video and audio levels. Candidates MUST know how to tell a story with pictures and be able to produce a quality product under numerous deadlines. Previous experience in television news photography and a driver's license are required. Digital editing experience preferred. Preferred candidates will have a journalism or communications related degree. Anchor/Reporter

Internship Opportunities
CLTV provides internships for college students during the Spring, Summer, Winter & Fall terms. CLTV's internship program is intended to be a hands-on, educational opportunity designed to expose students to the skills and experience needed for employment in various news and production positions. Interns work along side newsroom and production staff and are exposed to all aspects of production, including writing, producing, shooting and editing as they assist in story writing and developing content for CLTV's daily news casts, as well as the metromix and HomesPlus programs.

Candidates must possess excellent writing and communications skills. Prior internship experience in a television or production environment is a plus. Prefer editing skills and familiarity of the Chicagoland area. Students must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and at least a junior standing is required. Availability to work 20+ hours per week, including evenings and weekends is also required. Students submitting their resumes must also include a cover letter indicating which term they are applying for and the days and times they are available to work.

Multiple positions are available. CLTV internships are non-paid and must be taken for course credit. Students will be required to submit written verification from their respective universities of academic status and that college course credit will be granted before the internship begins.
