Multi-Media Sales Representative
These key positions will be responsible for new business development for CLTV, CLTV.com, WGN-TV, and WGNTV.com. Sales Reps will be working on a team to sell soon-to-be-launched local programs geared towards lucrative business categories, as well as new TV advertisers. Responsibilities include: building new relationships through lead generation, cold calling, Internet research, and canvassing territories to secure new advertising accounts. Will partner with Sales Director and Sales Manager to coordinate inquiries, media kits, marketing data and presentations, sales materials requests, rate questions, etc. In addition, this position will prepare client proposals and presentations for sales meetings and year-end re-cap.
The ideal candidate will have experience in advertising sales with strong communication, follow through, follow up, and relationship building skills. Excellent negotiation and customer service skills are a must to close new business. Computer proficiency a must, powerpoint, excel, etc. Must be courageous/fearless, aggressive, and have high energy. Sales Manager, Bus Dev - Multi Media
WGN-TV and CLTV are looking for a motivated Sales Manager to fill our Multi-Media Business Development role. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right individual. This key position will manage a new business development team for CLTV, CLTV.com, WGN- TV, and WGNTV.com to include the sales of all programming/websites for both stations. Additionally, the Sales Manager will spearhead sales in soon-to-be-launched local programs geared towards lucrative business categories. This person will hire, train, and manage a team of 4 – 5 sales reps, will lead each project from start to finish, and will create and lead the vision for this sales team. We want someone who has experience with start ups and/or project work, someone who is excited about being the "chariot driver" of this team, and who is aggressive and courageous.
Requirements include demonstrated experience in managing successful new business teams, creativity, high energy level, strong commitment to excellent client service, and strong business ethics. Associate Producer CLTV News, Tribune Company's 24-hour regional cable news channel, is seeking a talented journalist to consider for a position as an associate producer. This individual will assist news producers in the overall production of CLTV newscasts. Duties include researching news stories, writing news copy, coming up with story coverage ideas, helping newscast producers in both the creation and control room execution of newscasts and creating elements for cltv.com and other related websites, including placement of web video. As experience in this position grows, the associate producer will produce newscasts as needed. Position requires strong writing skills, good news judgment and a bachelor's degree in journalism. Requires 1+ years experience as an associate producer and availability to work varying shifts and days per week. Use of digital technology preferred and Spanish language skills desirable.

CLTV News, Tribune Company's 24-hour cable news station located in a state-of-the-art facility in suburban Chicago, is seeking a talented News Photojournalist. Basic responsibilities include shooting and editing news and feature stories as assigned, including live truck operation; working independently and with reporters in photographing and editing packages; and maintaining quality standards in relation to video and audio levels. Candidates MUST know how to tell a story with pictures and be able to produce a quality product under numerous deadlines. Previous experience in television news photography and a valid driver's license are required. Digital editing experience preferred. News Internship Opportunities
CLTV News is seeking interns for newsroom positions. The newsroom internship is rotational in nature. Interns spend time in-house with producers and assignment editors before heading out in the field with reporters and photographers. This is a great opportunity to get broad newsroom exposure in the #3 market. Multiple positions available. Internships are non-paid, must be for course credit and require availability to work evenings and weekends. Past internship experience is preferred and at least a junior standing is required.

Entertainment interns will possess excellent writing and communications skills. Experience in broadcast journalism, television or film production is required. Prefer field producing, non-linear editing skills and familiarity of the Chicagoland area entertainment scene.
