Marcus Leshock
Marcus Leshock is a host for "metromix."

BEFORE METROMIX: Marcus Leshock is a product of the Chicagoland area and is proud to serve as the nightly host of its finest entertainment program! He grew up in Schaumburg...a proud alumnus of Schaumburg High School. He went on to earn both a B.A. and M.A. in Communication from Northern Illinois University. He made his mark on campus as a film critic and entertainment editor at the Northern Star student newspaper for about 5 years. During his time at NIU, Marcus fell in love with creating media - from print, to video, to television. Marcus continues to shoot and edit many of pieces for "metromix," most notably his weekly Leshock Value movie review segment that airs on Fridays!

Marcus also spent time in the commercial video production industry at Chicago-based SolidLine Media; producing, writing, and editing commercials and various promotional pieces.

He brings all of that experience into his position with "metromix," providing a balance of fun and intelligence to Chicago's best entertainment program.

OUTSIDE OF METROMIX: Marcus spreads some Leshock love all over the country! He occasionally appears on WGN Radio's "Nick Digilio Show" to talk movies with Nick. You may have also seen him in the RedEye Sports 5on5. He's also appeared as a guest on CLTV's Sunday Night Roundtable sports show. He can also be heard as "Marcus the Movie Guy" Friday mornings on the Scotty Wylde Morning Show on 106 KHITS in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

On a more personal level, Marcus is huge sports fan who lives and dies with the Cubs. Bottom line - if the Cubs have a bad day, Marcus has a bad day (you Cub fans know what he's talking about). But this could be the year!!!

Marcus also grew up a huge Blackhawks fan. He was practically raised in the old Chicago Stadium, pounding his little fists on the boarded walls of the second balcony as Eddie Belfour defended the Hawks net under the American flag.
