Pogo
Pogo is co-host of CLTV's "metromix" show.
Before metromix:
This is his first actual job in television, as he somehow weaseled his way in here after being heard in Chicago for the last couple of years on Q101 (101.1 FM), where he still does some weekend shifts.
He considers himself a bit of a music expert… we simply call him a music snob. But he's constantly attending shows at places such as the Double Door, Empty Bottle, Metro, etc.
Pogo parlays his music passion into a weekly indie music program that he hosts/produces, which is heard on XM Satellite Radio (Sundays @ 6p, Tuesdays @ 10p on XM Ch. 29).
He got his start in all of this in 1996 at U92, the college radio station at West Virginia University. It was there while studying engineering and getting by with a lot of 'C' grades that he realized being a music geek and hanging out in pubs could actually earn him a living…and with "metromix," it has!
Outside of metromix:
Pogo grew up around Buffalo, NY, explaining his obsession for hockey, which he still plays in a league in the suburbs. He has a keen interest in traveling, too, but usually ends up at out-of-the-way destinations (he's been to Iceland seven times, of all places!).
Other interests include: cooking, classic films, watching documentaries, buying records, the 3 Stooges, dj'ing, and wearing silly t-shirts.
